Game Ideas

Please remember that these are all things I have collected over time and are NOT my ideas.

I believe these ones come from an old boy scout manual somewhere.

Make sure to emphasize team work with all of these. A few sound hard and they might be if the girls don't work together. They will figure that one out rather quickly though and you might see some good results.

Catch the Snapper

Basically this one is a race to see how quickly the girls can lash together a rod (like a fishing pole) and catch a snapper (a set mouse trap) without setting the trap off. You would have a pole, rope and the mousetrap at the start. You would set it up like the girls were on the bank of a river and the snapper was about ten feet off of shore. They would have to take the pole, lash the rope to it and make a loop at the end to catch the snapper. Whoever successfully drags the snapper into the shore without setting off the trap wins.

Snake Race
You would have the girls start out by holding several poles with their hands under their legs and the girls legs in front and behind them. At the whistle the would have to lash all of the sticks together and then take the snake under, in front, over, behind and under the group of girls. The first team to successfully accomplish this with their snake intact wins. Sounds easier than it really is.

Tripod Balance

Have the girls construct a tripod that is taller than themselves. Make sure that they know it has to be strong. Once the tripod is up have them lash a rope from the top of the tripod hanging down to the ground. Then have them tie a bowline (a loop) at the end. Have the girls work together to have one of them balance on the rope from the tripod.

Log Walk Challenge
Have the girls construct two tripods and place them about four feet away from each other. Have them lash a pole from the top of the tripod and have it hanging about 4-6 inches off of the ground. Have the girls walk from tripod to tripod.

Three-legged stool, Wash basin and stand, Shower, Dish, drying rack, Garbage rack, Fire bucket rack to hold the water, Tool rack, Table, Dish Washing Assembly (holds pan for scraping, washing, rinsing and sanitizing), A Bench.
